Our roots
It all began with the Digital Gold Institute, our strategic research and consulting center dedicated to blockchain and crypto-assets. It was in this environment of training and innovation that visions from the academic, banking, and high-profile consulting worlds came together, uniting to chart a new course in the industry.
From custody to management
CheckSig is the natural destination of this journey. Born with a vertical focus on custody, our organization has evolved to become the go-to partner for the professional management of the entire Bitcoin ecosystem. Today we offer a solid and multidisciplinary identity, capable of governing every aspect of this new asset class.
What the name means
Your security is our primary mission: that’s why we chose an apparently unusual name that defines our core business. “OP_CHECKSIG” is a Bitcoin Script language instruction: it verifies the validity of the signatures required to authorize a transaction. A foundational element, therefore, for the security of the entire Bitcoin protocol.
