With this information, pursuant to art. 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, laying down provisions for the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and the free movement of such data, (hereinafter also only the “GDPR“) and art. 122 of D.lgs. 196/2003, as amended by D.lgs. 101/2018 (“Privacy Code”), as well as according to the General Provision of the Guarantor for the Protection of Personal Data (“Guarantor Privacy“) of 8 May 2014 as supplemented by the Decree of the Guarantor of Privacy of 10 June 2021 (hereinafter jointly referred to as the “Measures“), the website operator checksig.com (hereinafter referred to as the “Site“), CheckSig S.r.l. Società Benefit, briefly also CKSG S.r.l. Società Benefit (C.F./P.VAT no. 11028330964) with registered office in Milano MI, Piazza del Liberty 8 CAP 20121; e-mail: privacy@checksig.com, registered e-mail (PEC): checksig@pec.it (below also only “CheckSig“). provides the user (hereinafter the “User“) of the site and its sub-domains with some information about the cookies used.
Cookies are strings of text that the site visited by the user, namely different sites or web servers (“third parties”) place and store – directly and indirectly – within a user’s terminal device (usually at the browser), where they are stored automatically to be then re-transmitted just as automatically to the same site on the next visit by the same user.
Information encoded in cookies can include personal data, such as an IP address, user name, unique identifier, or e-mail address, but they can also contain non-personal data, such as language settings or information about the type of device a person is using to browse the site.
There are various types of cookies and they differ on the basis of the purposes pursued. For example, some are used to make the use of the site easier and more effective, others for performing computer authentication, session monitoring, and storing information about specific configurations regarding users accessing the server.
The same result can also be achieved through the use of other tools, which can be distinguished between “active identifiers” used by the site (i.e. tracking pixels and web beacons) and “passive identifiers”.
Cookies and other identifiers can be classified according to various criteria, which the main one remains, however, the purpose for which they are used.
Technical cookies are those used for the sole purpose of carrying out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network, or to the extent strictly necessary for the provider of an information society service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user to provide such service. This type of cookie allows certain sections of the site to function properly.
Technical cookies, in relation to the technical services offered, will therefore always be used and sent unless the user changes the settings in their browser. They are not used for any further purposes.
Specifically, the site uses those following technical cookies from:
Analytics cookies are used to collect, in aggregate and anonymous form, statistical information regarding the number of users and the way users navigate, in order to improve the site’s use and to make the content more interesting and relevant to the users’ desires. Analytics cookies are sent from the site itself or from third-parties domains and are assimilated to technical cookies only if: (i) used only to produce aggregate statistics and in relation to a single site or mobile application; (ii) for those of third parties, at least the fourth component of the IP address is masked; (iii) the third parties refrain from combining the analytics cookies thus minimized, with other processing or transmitting them to further third parties.
Profiling cookies, including those of third parties, are those used to trace specific actions or recurring behavioral patterns in the use of the offered functionalities (patterns) back to determined, identified or identifiable subjects in order to group the different profiles within homogeneous clusters of different width, so that it is also possible for the owner, among other things, to modulate the provision of the service in an increasingly personalized manner beyond what is strictly necessary for the provision of the service, as well as to send targeted advertising messages, i.e., in line with the preferences expressed by the user in the context of web browsing.
While browsing, the user may also receive cookies on their terminal, which are sent from different sites or web servers (so-called “third parties”), on which some elements (such as, for example, images, maps, sounds, specific links to pages of other domains) present on the site that the same is visiting may reside.
Third-parties cookies include social network cookies installed to allow the user’s social account to interact with the site. They are used, for example, to make the user express their appreciation and share it with the user’s social friends. Social network cookies are not necessary for navigation.
When accessing the site, the user receives a short information notice (“banner“) with a brief description of the cookies used by the site.
Technical cookies do not require user’s prior consent. The length of time a technical cookie remains on your computer or mobile device depends on whether it is a “persistent” cookie or a “session” cookie. Session cookies last until you stop browsing, while persistent cookies last until they expire or are removed.
Analytical cookies (if they do not fit under the category of technical cookies as detailed above) and profiling cookies require user’s consent. In the absence of express consent from the user, analytical and profiling cookies will not be activated.
The user may manage their preferences and/or deny and/or revoke their consent to the use of any cookies and additional tracking tools at any time by accessing the preference management dashboard via the “Customize Your Cookie Choices” button located in the banner and also reachable via links located in the footer of all pages of the site.
The individual cookies and additional tracking tools, including those of third parties installed on the site, as well as the retention times and links through which the user can receive more information and request deactivation of cookies are detailed.

In addition to the provisions of paragraph 3 regarding the management of cookies and other tracking tools, the user can also customize their choices in relation to the same through the browser settings, as well as set the preferences of the browser itself, so that they are notified whenever a cookie is stored in the memory of their computer. At the end of each browsing session, you can then delete the collected cookies from your hard disk.
Each browser has different procedures for managing settings. The user can obtain specific instructions through those below:
Disabling third-parties cookies is also possible through the methods made available directly by the third-parties company that owns said processing, as indicated at the links provided in the “How to Disable them” column of the table above.
